My Visual Diary is about celebrating everything life has to offer. These snapshots and musings convey my passions across an array of topics, from art to culture, design to travel and, of course, style!
I graduated with a BA in English Literature from Jordan University in 1988 before founding Rimal Models Inc, a company that organized fashion shows and castings as well as styled and designed sets for advertisements and films. I went on to produce and present lifestyle program, Athwaq (Tastes), on Jordan Television from 2000 to 2002.
These roles and the formative experiences that found me along the way gave me the drive to establish the Jordanian edition of Layalina in 2003. This Arabic society magazine became the Kingdom’s top-selling title before being surpassed by Layali Amman, which we introduced in 2013. Since that time I have served as Layali Amman’s Editor-in-Chief and added additional magazines to Al Faridah for Specialized Publications: VIVMAG (formerly VIVA), a women’s lifestyle publication in English; and Trendesign, an architecture, design and décor title, printed and published online in both languages.
While my personal aspiration has always been to serve as a positive role model for my three beautiful children, my work in media has seen this evolve into something much broader. For the past 20 years, I’ve endeavored to help expose the many talented individuals working in Jordan’s creative industries, to encourage them to excel at what they do, and to support them as they represent our Kingdom on regional and international stages.
I hope you’ll enjoy stopping off to see what I share on my blog and that through this showcase you too will be inspired to live with style!
